BRPD Circular No. 07: Loan Classification and Provisioning
Banks are exempted from maintaining the 1% General Provision against off-balance sheet exposures for Bills for Collection and guarantees backed by counter-guarantees from entities with a BB rating grade '1' equivalent. This exemption applies to Bills for Collection received without recourse and guarantees where the counter-guarantee issuer meets the specified rating criteria. The directive takes immediate effect.
