Banks, Savings and Credit Societies, foreign bank branches, and specified state development banks must notify the Superintendency via electronic means to open or close branches, submitting board certifications, location details, security measures, investment calculations, contingency plans, and market studies. Opening requires a non-objection resolution, while closures demand 60 days' notice for banks, 60 business days for Investment Banks, and 30 days for Cooperative Banks, published nationally. Branches must maintain specific security infrastructure, including vaults, dual-control systems, and alarm systems, and operate with mandatory public service hours. The standards, effective 01/03/2025, mandate immediate notification of force majeure closures and periodic testing of contingency plans.
