We refer you to Circular Decision No. 13233 dated 8/6/2020 regarding the amendment of the Central Office System for Defaulting Customers, a copy of which is attached to Basic Decision No. 6060 dated 25/11/1995, attached to Basic Circular No. 20.

Amendment of the Central Office System for Defaulting Customers Attached to Basic Decision No. 6060 dated 25/11/1995

The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon,
Based on the Monetary and Loan Law, particularly Article 174 thereof, And based on Basic Decision No. 6060 dated 25/11/1995, as amended, regarding the Central Office System for Defaulting Customers, And in light of the exceptional circumstances currently affecting the country due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, And based on the powers vested in the Governor to ensure the continuity of public services,

It is hereby decided as follows:

Article One: A paragraph is added to paragraph (a) of "Article 3" of the Central Office System for Defaulting Customers attached to Basic Decision No. 6060 dated 25/11/1995, reading as follows:

"The period extending from 15/3/2020 to 15/6/2020 inclusive shall be included in the fifteen (15) days specified above and granted for settling returned cheques."

Article Two: This decision takes effect immediately upon its issuance.

Article Three: This decision is published in the Official Gazette.
