CBE Regulation Book 3.7 - The Maximum Limits For The Bank’s Investments With A Single Customer, The Customer, And The Parties Associated With It

The Central Bank of Egypt establishes maximum exposure limits for banks, capping single customer exposure at 20% of capital and combined single customer and associated parties at 25%, with a group-wide limit of 100% of capital. The regulation defines a single customer to include entities under common control or economic groups, and sets specific thresholds for related-party transactions with board members and major shareholders. Banks are required to submit annual reports on compliance and obtain prior approval for any increases to these limits.
