CBJ Circular on Safety Measures and Business Continuity for Microfinance Companies

The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) issued Circular No. 28/2/11996 on September 16, 2020, directing microfinance companies operating in the Kingdom to adopt general safety measures, including social distancing, mask-wearing, and remote working mechanisms. The circular requires these entities to review their business continuity plans, activate crisis management roles, and maintain communication between executive management and the board of directors. These directives are issued in light of the novel Coronavirus spread and Defense Order No. (11) of 2020.
