The Central Bank of Jordan transmits a Prime Ministerial directive requiring all ministries, official departments, public institutions, and municipalities to enforce the Radiation Prevention and Nuclear Safety and Security Law No. 43 of 2007. Specifically, authorities are prohibited from issuing licenses to persons or entities involved in medical or nuclear radiation work unless they hold a valid radiation license and a clearance letter confirming no legal or financial obligations. This requirement is established as a mandatory condition for issuing professional licenses in the Greater Amman Municipality, all governorates, and other relevant authorities.

His Excellency
Dear Sir
Based on the provisions of the Radiation Prevention and Nuclear Safety and Security Law No. (43) for the year 2007 and its amendments, which established the Radiation and Nuclear Work Regulatory Authority and regulated and monitored the use of nuclear and ionizing radiation energy, protected the environment and human health and property from the dangers of pollution and exposure to ionizing radiation, and ensured the availability of safety conditions and requirements for radiation prevention, nuclear safety and security.
All ministries, official departments, institutions, public bodies, the Greater Amman Municipality, municipalities, and joint services councils are required to fully implement the provisions of the aforementioned Law and take the following measures:
Do not approve the granting of any licenses to any person or institution related to medical and nuclear radiation work, except after review by the Radiation and Nuclear Work Regulatory Authority and obtaining a valid radiation license and a letter stating that there are no legal or financial obligations against them.
Consider the above as a basic requirement for completing the issuance of professional licenses in the Greater Amman Municipality and municipalities in all governorates, as well as all relevant authorities in professional licenses.
