The Central Bank of Jordan extends the validity of approvals granted to licensed money changers to open transaction lines in foreign currencies and precious metals with external parties until October 17, 2019, or until the issuance of systems and regulations under the Money Changers Business Law, whichever occurs earlier. This extension applies to approvals that were originally set to expire on April 17, 2019, and requires continued observance of Articles 20/d and 48/j of the Electronic Payment and Money Transfer System No. 111 of 2017. The directive is issued pursuant to the Board of Directors' resolution dated March 28, 2019.
