The Central Bank of Jordan amends its monetary policy operational framework to direct short-term inter-bank lending rates via a corridor system with a 4.75% ceiling and 2.75% floor. Licensed banks are authorized to use temporary open market operations, including weekly repurchase agreements, certificates of deposit auctions, and currency swaps, to manage liquidity and surplus reserves. The memorandum supersedes previous contradictory instructions and takes effect immediately.
