Central Bank of Sri Lanka Circular on Operator Charges and Transaction Fee Limits for LankaSettle System
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued Circular No. 03 of 2015 to rationalize fees for the LankaSettle System and promote cost-effective electronic payments. The regulation caps the maximum fee Participating Institutions can charge customers at Rs. 1,000 per transaction and reduces the Central Bank's operator charge to Rs. 450. These measures replace previous directives and take effect on 1 September 2015.
