Central Bank of Swaziland Order, 1974

This Order establishes the Central Bank of Swaziland as a body corporate with the authority to formulate monetary policy, issue legal tender, and supervise financial institutions. It defines the Bank's capital structure, requiring the Government to hold all capital, and outlines the composition, appointment, and duties of the Board of Directors. The legislation grants the Bank exclusive rights to issue notes and coins, sets penalties for counterfeiting and mutilation, and regulates its relations with the Government and other financial institutions.
