The Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago reminds all financial institutions licensed under the Financial Institutions Act 2008 and insurance companies under the Insurance Act Chap. 84:01 that external auditors must submit Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism reports annually. These reports are required to be submitted to the Central Bank no later than four months after the end of the financial year. The regulator expects regulated entities to promptly address any deficiencies noted in these external audit reports.
