Paragraph 21.10 of the SEBI Master Circular for Mutual Funds is modified to require persons distributing Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) to hold the NISM Series-V-D certification. Entities holding this certification may distribute both Mutual Fund and SIF products without separately holding the NISM Series V-A certification, while those distributing only Mutual Funds must continue to comply with Series V-A. The existing requirement for the NISM Series XIII certification is abolished after September 21, 2026, with a transition period allowing holders of that certification to distribute SIFs until its expiry provided they also hold Series V-A. Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and Asset Management Companies (AMCs) are directed to ensure distributor compliance, and these provisions come into force with immediate effect.
