Dear Sir,

Regarding the time limit for providing loan information in the Credit Information System (CIS).

Reference is drawn to CIB Circular Letter No. 01/2023, dated 14 December, 2023.

In order to make the loan information stored in the CIB database more reliable and to include updated customer information in the CIB report as quickly as possible, instructions are hereby given to submit your institution's existing and newly approved/distributed loans in the newly developed Credit Information System (CIS) as follows:

1. New approved/distributed loans and any existing loans submitted to the CIB database that undergo renewal/increase/restructuring/rescheduling/coordination or any other reason for status change must be reported in the said entry or in Bulk in Real Time on the date the loan is approved/distributed or the loan information changes.

2. CIB Circular Letter No. 01/2023, dated 14 December, 2023 is hereby repealed.

3. This instruction is issued under the powers conferred by Article 44(1) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 (P.O No. 127 of 1972).

4. This instruction will take effect immediately.
