The National Credit Regulator introduces a new Suspension Indicator functionality on the Debt Help System, effective 02 September 2018, allowing registered Debt Counsellors to flag suspended consumer profiles. Debt Counsellors must provide reasons for suspension, and while the indicator identifies suspended status, it does not alter the consumer's underlying active status code (C, D3, or D4) nor is it communicated to Credit Bureaus.
