Circular 10 of 2020 - Misleading Marketing Practices by Debt Counsellors
Debt Counsellors are prohibited from using misleading marketing content on social media and SMS platforms, including false claims about High Court rulings, government debt cancellations, or unauthorized use of the National Credit Regulator logo. Registrants must immediately desist from such conduct, remove the NCR logo from all marketing materials, and ensure their materials disclose their NCR registration details. Failure to implement these corrective measures will result in enforcement action by the National Credit Regulator.
