The Central Bank of Libya requires banks to report details of non-performing financing facilities granted to individuals and legal entities to the Libyan Credit Information Center at the Central Bank of Libya. This reporting is mandated to facilitate the suspension of the bank's specific code (CBL.KEY) for applicants with payment defaults, in accordance with Circular 2019/7. Defaulters are granted a maximum deadline of two weeks to settle their obligations with the banks.
