Commercial banks and their branches in Libya are required to enable the public to deposit withdrawn 50-dinar banknotes into their bank accounts, adhering to existing withdrawal limits and documentation requirements. Banks must facilitate account opening for citizens without existing accounts and comply with established regulations for deposits from local and foreign entities, as well as diplomatic missions. This directive implements Central Bank of Libya Board Decision No. 1 of 2012 regarding the withdrawal of the 50-dinar note from circulation.
