Circular 4 of 2023 - Notice to registrants: obstructive behaviour during an investigation
Registrants are prohibited from hindering NCR-appointed Inspectors or attempting to improperly influence them during investigations initiated under the National Credit Act. Failure to permit entry or cooperation constitutes an offence, potentially resulting in search warrants executed with SAPS assistance, summonses for documentation, or criminal charges against obstructing individuals. While registrants may verify inspector identities via direct contact with the NCR, such verification does not postpone the investigation.
