The Central Bank of Argentina establishes that clients refinancing, repurchasing, or early redeeming debt using funds from new foreign debt issuances may pay up to 5% of the repurchased capital as a premium, accrued interest, and issuance expenses without requiring equivalent fund settlements. The regulation also deems the settlement requirement fulfilled for new debt titles delivered as premiums in exchange operations, provided the premium does not exceed 5% of the exchanged capital and the new titles include a minimum one-year grace period and a two-year extension. Additionally, entities may accept sworn declarations from clients holding excess foreign currency deposits originating from recent foreign debt subscriptions to finalize such refinancing operations.
