The Central Bank of Argentina amends the Foreign Exchange and Currency regulations to allow early settlement of goods and services imports through currency swaps or arbitrage using funds from local foreign currency accounts or simultaneous settlement of local foreign currency financing. Specifically, it adds new provisions for goods imports under points 10.10.2.12 and 10.10.2.13, including a 90% capital goods threshold for mixed shipments, and for services imports under point 13.3.9. It also updates point 13.3.1 to align financing repayment dates with regulatory deadlines and expands the scope of permissible swaps under point 3.14 to include foreign currency transfers abroad executed under these new provisions.
