CIRCULAR D4 2000/3 TO STOCKBROKING COMPANIES
Regulation on the own funds of stockbroking companies

Madam,
Sir,

By my circular letter D4/EB/1147 of 24 July last, I transmitted to you, for information and pending the approval of the competent Ministers, the Commission's decree of 4 July 2000 amending the decrees of 5 December 1995 relating to the own funds of credit institutions and stockbroking companies, as well as a brief commentary on the amendments made by this decree.

The modifying decree of the Commission has since been approved by the Ministers of Finance and the Economy by ministerial decree of 3 August 2000 and published in the Belgian Monitor of 15 August 2000.

I also inform you that the Commission's services have prepared an updated coordinated version of the regulations on the own funds of credit institutions (decree, commentary) and stockbroking companies (decree, commentary) (unofficial coordination), as well as the related commentary. These texts can be consulted on the website of the Banking and Financial Commission (www.cbf.be) and will also be published in brochure form. An adaptation of the report on the regulation on the own funds of stockbroking companies is currently being prepared.
