Circular dated January 26, 2016 regarding amending the maximum limit for cash deposits in foreign currency
The Central Bank of Egypt increases the maximum monthly cash deposit limit for legal persons to 250,000 US dollars for specific essential goods, such as food, machinery, and medicines, with no daily limit. The previous limits of 10,000 US dollars per day and 50,000 US dollars per month remain unchanged for natural persons and other legal persons. Unused portions of monthly cash deposits are carried over to the following month's limit. These changes apply effective January 20, 2016.
