Circular dated July 12, 2017 regarding financing small enterprises operating in the agricultural field, agricultural processing, fish, poultry and animal wealth.

The Central Bank of Egypt reduces the minimum annual sales or revenue threshold for small enterprises in the agricultural, processing, dairy, feed, fish, poultry, and animal sectors from 1 million EGP to 250,000 EGP. This adjustment allows these enterprises, whose revenue is between 250,000 EGP and less than 50 million EGP, to access credit facilities at a low interest rate of 5% under the initiative issued on January 11, 2016. The measure aims to support this sector by lowering financing costs, as most such enterprises previously fell below the 1 million EGP threshold required for the low-rate incentive.
