The Central Bank of Egypt reduces the minimum annual sales or revenue threshold for small enterprises in the agricultural, processing, dairy, feed, fish, poultry, and animal sectors from 1 million EGP to 250,000 EGP. This adjustment allows these enterprises, whose revenue is between 250,000 EGP and less than 50 million EGP, to access credit facilities at a low interest rate of 5% under the initiative issued on January 11, 2016. The measure aims to support this sector by lowering financing costs, as most such enterprises previously fell below the 1 million EGP threshold required for the low-rate incentive.
