Circular dated June 21, 2020 regarding extending the period of exempting local transfers in Egyptian pounds from commissions and expenses until September 15, 2020
The Central Bank of Egypt extends the exemption of local transfers in Egyptian pounds from all commissions and expenses until September 15, 2020. Banks are required to support their transfer infrastructure and departments to ensure that customer requests are executed on the same day to prevent delays and encourage the reduction of cash usage.
