Rule · BCRA · 4 Jul 1984 · A 506
The Central Bank of the Republic Argentina sets July 31, 1984, as the final deadline for holders of foreign exchange insurance contracts maturing by December 31, 1983, to request delivery of foreign currency securities. If this deadline passes without a request, the contract is annulled and the peso amount paid to the Bank is refunded, adjusted from the debit date to the credit date using specific indices based on the original regulatory regime (Communication A 31 or A 137). The adjustment methodology relies on wholesale price indices, financial adjustment indices, dollar quotation variations, or internal interest rates depending on the specific option exercised under previous circulars.
