CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 1,529

Participating Financial Institutions of the Check and Other Papers Clearing Service

We communicate that, due to the new mechanics of resource movement of the National Treasury to be implemented through the Integrated Financial Administration System – SIAFI, conceived by the National Treasury Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance:

a) the transit through the Check and Other Papers Clearing Service is authorized for the documents that from 02.01.87 onwards will affect the resources of the National Treasury: Bank Order and Receipt Guide;

b) in the Clearing Service, the code number 100 was granted to Banco do Brasil S.A. – Treasury for the acceptance of the documents mentioned in the previous item. These papers, therefore, must be sent to the Service separately from those destined for Banco do Brasil S.A.– 001;

c) checks issued from 02.01.87, inclusive, drawn against account 31.201.66 of Banco do Brasil S.A. and Financial Notes instituted by Decree No. 91.959, of 19.11.85, also issued from 02.01.87, inclusive, may be returned for "improper clearing".

2. Consequently, the sheets necessary for the update of the Manual of Norms and Instructions are attached.
