CIRCULAR LETTER No. 002970 ------------------------ Amends return reason No. 49 of the Check and Other Instruments Clearing Service (SCCOP). We inform that, taking into account the provisions of Circular No. 772 of 8 April 1983, codified in MNI 6-2-1-34, and Circular No. 3.050 of 2 August 2001, checks returned through the Check and Other Instruments Clearing Service - SCCOP for reason 20 - check leaf canceled at the request of the account holder, if resubmitted, must be returned for reason 49, which shall henceforth read as follows: 49 - Null remittance, characterized by the resubmission of a check returned for reasons 12, 13, 14, 20, 25, 28, 30, 35, 43, 44 and 45, and its return may occur at any time. 2. The SCCOP Operator is tasked with disseminating the routines necessary to comply with the provisions of this Circular Letter. 3. This Circular Letter enters into force on the date of its publication, with effects from 3 September 2001. Brasilia, 15 August 2001.
