The document prohibits financial institutions from charging fees for electronic account statements or balance inquiries that are displayed only on screens without being printed on detachable paper. For inquiries printed on detachable paper, fees may only be charged if more than one inquiry is made within a seven-day calendar period, calculated per account rather than per client. This regulation revokes Communication No. 2,219 of November 1, 1990.
