Circular LISOL 1-1155 OPRAC 1-1320: Financing the Non-Financial Public Sector. Public Debt Securities of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA)

The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina waives the restriction on financial institutions acquiring public debt securities issued by the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) in Argentine pesos, up to a total nominal value equivalent to USD 150,000,000, provided the securities are issued under Laws 6,751, 6,860, and 6,861 of CABA and meet the conditions set by the Secretariat of Treasury. Because these securities lack eligible guarantees under the Bank's regulations, acquiring financial institutions must apply the higher risk weighter for Minimum Capital requirements and adhere to the global limit of 5% of the entity's Risk-Weighted Capital (RPC) for financing the non-financial public sector.
