Circular LISOL 1-172. Minimum liquidity requirements. Integration with letters of credit

Financial entities must integrate "stand-by" letters of credit into minimum liquidity requirements from 1.1.98, replacing prior rules. These instruments require a 270-day validity, an "A" rating, unrestricted immediate access, and custody at Deutsche Bank, New York. Entities may allocate counter-guarantees up to 125% of the letter amount. The credit amount must be at least twice the integration sum. Deductions apply for committed credit lines and foreign liabilities cancellable within 30 days.
