Belgian investment firms are required to submit quarterly periodic reports on their general solvency ratio on both a solo and consolidated basis, effective for accounts closed on 31 December 2014. The reporting deadline is the first business day of the second calendar month following the reporting date, utilizing the technical transmission modalities applied to periodic reports. This specific reporting requirement replaces the previous table 90.01 from the Belgian Corep framework to verify compliance with Article 38 of the NBB regulation of 4 March 2014.

Summary/Objectives
This circular aims to modify the periodic reports.
Madam,
Sir,
Pending the introduction of a mandatory leverage ratio at the European level, the NBB has decided to maintain its mandatory solvency ratio. To this end, it deems it necessary to have specific reporting to verify compliance with the obligations set out in Article 38 of the NBB regulation of 4 March 2014 relating to the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013, and approved by Royal Decree. This reporting is similar to that which was in force via table 90.01 of the Belgian Corep.
It will be transmitted on a solo and consolidated basis, and this on a quarterly basis. The reporting deadline is set at the first business day of the second calendar month following the reporting date. This reporting will enter into force for accounts closed on 31 December 2014. The technical modalities for transmission are those applied to periodic reports. A copy of this circular is sent to the auditor(s), approved reviewer(s) of your establishment. We ask you to accept, Madam, Sir, our distinguished greetings.
Luc Coene
Governor
