Insurance and reinsurance undertakings are notified that specific circulars and notices are repealed or removed from the National Bank of Belgium's website. Repealed items are obsolete under the Law of 13 March 2016, while non-prudential items are removed as they fall outside the Bank's competence, though their repeal remains the responsibility of the Financial Services and Markets Authority. This action does not exempt undertakings from complying with the underlying legal and regulatory provisions referenced in the removed documents.

Dear Madam
Dear Sir
I. Objectives
This circular informs insurance and reinsurance undertakings that various circulars and notices are being repealed and/or removed from the Bank's website, either because these circulars and notices are no longer in accordance with the current requirements of the Law of 13 March 2016 on the status of and supervision of insurance or reinsurance undertakings or its implementing measures, or because their purpose is not of a prudential nature and does not fall under the Bank's competences.
II. Obsolete circulars and notices
The following circulars and notices are obsolete and are therefore repealed as of the publication of this circular.
This repeal naturally does not change the applicable legal and regulatory framework and does not exempt undertakings from complying with the legal and regulatory provisions referred to in the circulars and notices. The attention of the undertakings is also drawn to the fact that certain provisions of the repealed circulars and notices have been incorporated into later circulars.

III. Non-prudential circulars and notices
The following circulars and notices are not of a prudential nature and do not fall under the Bank's competences. For this reason, they are removed from the Bank's website. The attention of insurance and reinsurance undertakings is drawn to the fact that this removal in no case means that these circulars and notices are repealed. It is the competence of the Financial Services and Markets Authority to decide whether and when these circulars and notices should be repealed. A copy of this circular is addressed to the commissioner(s), recognized auditor(s) of your institution. Yours faithfully Pierre WUNSCH Governor
