Credit institutions and financial and mixed financial holding companies authorised or designated under Belgian law must apply the EBA Guidelines from 19 May 2026, identifying eligible retail exposures under Article 123(1) CRR, excluding those in Article 123(2) and defaulted exposures, and running the retail diversification test at the level at which minimum own funds requirements are calculated, using exposure at default. Institutions must perform three separate calculations for non-securitised exposures, securitised exposures where they act as originator, and, for investors, only underlying securitised exposures; where Article 7(4) of Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 templates lack obligor and exposure-value information, the condition is deemed fulfilled.
