Circular No. 10/2/2025 on Accrediting Personal Data Protection Commissioners for Banks in Jordan
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates banks operating in the Kingdom to appoint an internal Personal Data Protection Commissioner in compliance with Personal Data Protection Law No. (24) of 2023. Banks must notify the Central Bank of the appointment, ensuring the Commissioner's independence and specialized qualifications, and submit an authenticated declaration by the end of the third quarter of 2025. The circular further requires banks to report any separation of the Commissioner and ensures the position remains continuously filled.
