Circular No. 1481 — Extinguishes specified accounting documents and institutes a new model for the Document Catalog (Cadoc) for information submission to the Central Bank of Brazil

Financial Institutions and other Entities Authorized to Operate by the Central Bank of Brazil

We communicate that the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, as a result of the implementation of the first phase of the "Program for Rationalization of Information Flows between Institutions of the Financial and Capital Markets and the Central Bank - PRFI", accepted the result of the analysis of 5,761 (five thousand, seven hundred and sixty-one) types of documents received and the prior elimination of 3,243 (three thousand, two hundred and forty-three) types, and decided, based on the provisions of Article 37 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964:

a) extinguish, and consequently dispense with submission to this Body, the 427 (four hundred and twenty-seven) documents detailed in the attached "List of Extinguished Documents";

b) clarify that the 265 (two hundred and sixty-five) documents listed in the attached "List of Previously Revoked Documents" should no longer be forwarded to this Bank;

c) determine that future changes, additions, or exclusions in the current information flows must be obligatorily implemented through a Joint Circular of the Supervision Directorate and the interested Directorates.

2. Consequently, a new version of the
   Document Catalog - CADOC, will come into force, which will define the documents to be obligatorily submitted to this Body by the institutions financial, entities and persons referred to in Articles 17 and 18 of that legal instrument, as well as the specifications to be observed for this purpose.

3. The Registration and Information Department - DECAD
   will publish the new version of the CADOC, whose signature, renewable annually, will have its value defined by the Department of Material Resources Administration - DEMAP.

4. Any information request, of a periodic nature,
   to financial institutions and other entities authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil will only produce effects if the provisions established in this Circular are observed, which will enter into force on the date of its publication, revoking Circulars No. 664 and 734, of December 21, 1981 and September 29, 1982, and the regulatory provisions regarding the extinguished documents, referred to in item 1, letter "a", of this Circular.
