Circular No. 1702 - Procedures Regarding the Statement Attached to Circular No. 1687 of April 26, 1990 - Daily Average Rate on Financial Costs from Deficiencies in MP 168/90 Bank Reserve Accounts

Institutions of the National Financial System must calculate daily financial costs for deficiencies in MP 168/90 bank reserve accounts using specified formulas and report these values daily to the Central Bank via SISBACEN, consolidating costs with affiliates. This reporting must occur within a maximum lag of three business days, with affiliated institutions responsible for data veracity and account holders for transmission. Institutions are exempt from filling the "Annualized Average Rate" column in Annex I of Circular No. 1,687. Deficiencies in account 6115.10.10-9 incur costs or fines at the daily average rate or compulsory deposit regulations, whichever is higher. This circular enters into force upon publication, replacing procedures in Circular No. 1,687.
