Circular No. 2158 — Establishes Complementary Procedures for Monetary Correction and Preparation and Submission of Financial Statements

Financial institutions authorized by the Central Bank must record monthly revenue-expense differentials in accounts 7.9.1.10.00-0 or 8.9.1.10.00-7, segregating results in internal sub-titles. Balances must be monetarily corrected monthly, updating previous months against current ones using only accumulated profit/loss sub-titles, without using the monetary correction result account. Half-year correction effects are computed in the second half. This establishes procedures for monetary correction and financial statement preparation, replacing usual procedures for monthly balance sheets from 01/01/92.
