Amends deadlines set out in Circular No. 2544 of 23.02.95 for registration of transactions in the System for Registration of Credit Transactions with the Public Sector (CADIP).

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on 20.03.96, based on art. 37 of Law No. 4595 of 31.12.64, and having regard to the provisions of arts. 8, 10 and 11 of Resolution No. 2008 of 28.07.93,

D E C I D E D:

Art. 1 Amend, from "up to 3 (three) business days" to "up to 10 (ten) business days", the deadline provided for in item I of art. 2 of Circular No. 2544 of 23.02.95.

Sole paragraph. The amendment established by this article applies, for the purpose of calculating fines, to registrations of events occurring from 01.01.96.

Art. 2 Establish a deadline of 30.06.96 for the inclusion or amendment of data relating to the Registration Information, Release and Payment Movement Information, Borrower Situation Information and Monthly Information modules, for transactions whose contracting date is prior to 01.01.96.

Sole paragraph. Institutions that do not carry out the registrations or the due corrections by 30.06.96 of the information referred to in this article shall be subject, for that reason, to the fines provided for in Resolution No. 2215 of 29.11.95, with the days of delay in information counted from 01.07.96.

Art. 3 This Circular enters into force on the date of its publication.
