Circular to all banks and financing companies subject to the supervision and oversight of the Central Bank of Jordan Subject: Indicators related to Women-Owned and/or Managed Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (WMSMEs)
Greetings,
In the Central Bank's efforts to contribute to enhancing women's economic empowerment in Jordan, including their access to financing from official sources, and in light of the Prime Ministry's letter dated 7 November 2024, which included the Cabinet's approval to adopt the definitions related to Enterprises Owned and/or Managed by Women and Unified Enterprises at the national level, we will begin monitoring the indicators related to Women-Owned and/or Managed Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (WMSMEs). It has been decided that all credit product providers must classify their customers' data according to the aforementioned definitions, and take the necessary measures to provide the following indicators, and submit them to the Central Bank quarterly, no later than the end of the month following each quarter, with reporting starting in July 2025 for the first and second quarters of the current year.
Please accept our highest respect,
