DECIDED:
Art. 1. Financial institutions and other institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil must obtain, prior to the start of activities of their branches and banking service posts (PAB), a technical report signed by a legally qualified professional attesting that the respective facilities meet the accessibility requirements set forth in Decree No. 5,296 of December 2, 2004.
§ 1. Compliance with the provisions of the caput may be demonstrated through the documents related to the certification referred to in §§ 1 and 2 of Article 13 of Decree No. 5,296 of 2004.
§ 2. In the case of premises installed within the premises of associations, societies, or private organizations, and of bodies or entities of the public administration, the requirements set forth in this circular apply only to the internal installations of the respective premises.
§ 3. The documentation proving compliance with the provisions of this circular must remain available to the Central Bank of Brazil in the respective premises and at the institution's headquarters.
Art. 2. Proof of compliance with the accessibility requirements set forth in Decree No. 5,296 of 2004, regarding branches and PAB already installed on the date this circular enters into force, as well as in cases of alteration thereof or change of address, must be carried out through the documentation mentioned in Article 1.
Sole Paragraph. The institutions mentioned in Article 1 will have a period of 360 (three hundred and sixty) days to obtain the aforementioned documentation regarding branches and PAB already installed on the date this circular enters into force.
Art. 3. This circular enters into force on the date of its publication.
