Circular No. 734 — Establishes the Document Catalog (CADOC)

CIRCULAR NO. 000734

To
Institutions of the National Financial System, of the Securities Distribution System, and of the National Rural Credit System

We communicate that the Board of Directors of the Central Bank, following up on the work to rationalize the collection, from financial institutions, and the processing of data and information necessary for the performance of its duties, decided to establish the attached Document Catalog (CADOC).

2. The CADOC, incorporating improvements recommended by the execution, for about nine months, of the rules contained in Circular No. 664, of 12/21/81, is constituted of the following parts:

a) Chapter I - Objective and general provisions;

b) Chapter II - List of documents and conditions for submission;

c) Chapter III - Instructions regarding documents that may be submitted on magnetic tapes.

3. With a view to speeding up procedures and simplifying graphic work, future alterations to the CADOC will be made by including or replacing sheets sent via Circular Letter.

4. We also note that the studies carried out in the current year, in addition to allowing the improvement of the rules now being published, already indicate the possibility of implementing a data processing system intended to monitor all rural credit operations in the country, which may provide financial institutions with relevant statistical data for the planning and control of their activities.

5. Finally, we inform that Circular No. 664, of 12/21/81, is hereby revoked.
