The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that banks must obtain its prior approval before submitting an application to the Insurance Commission for a license to conduct banking insurance activities. This requirement is based on Article 37(13) of the Banking Law No. 28 of 2000 and its amendments. The circular also attaches the Insurance Instructions for Banking Insurance Activities No. 1 of 2008, which were issued by the Insurance Commission and published in the Official Gazette.
