Subject: Sovereign Codes for Foreign Entities

Further to our memorandum No. (2009/26) issued on May 26, 2009, concerning the regulations governing the operation of the credit information system and to Annex No. (13) regarding the sovereign codes for institutions not holding a registration number for the purpose of declaring financial and personal data on credit transaction systems, we wish to note the addition and modification of certain sovereign codes for representations, consulates, and international organizations operating in Palestine. Accordingly, institutions are requested to do the following:

  1. Review the facilities granted and accounts opened for this category and update their codes based on the modified version of the sovereign codes attached herewith.
  2. Adopt the new modified version of the sovereign codes circular uploaded to the Credit Information Office/Credit Information System website for its adoption in declaring financial and personal data as of its date.
