Circular on Accuracy of Information Provided to the Central Bank

The Central Bank mandates that banks ensure the accuracy of information and data provided to the regulator, citing weaknesses in internal control and information systems. The Board of Directors and executive management are held responsible for providing quality information and must address identified deficiencies. Failure to comply may result in the application of Article 88/b of the Banking Law No. 28 of 2000, including the imposition of financial penalties.
