Circular on Notification Forms for Article 62 VFA Act Transitory Provision
The MFSA disregards partially completed, nonsensical, or erroneously completed Notification Forms submitted under Article 62 of the Virtual Financial Assets Act. Entities with successfully completed forms may continue activities in Malta without being regarded as contravening the Act until authorization is granted, but remain unregulated and are prohibited from claiming to hold an authorization. The MFSA emphasizes that acknowledgment of a form does not constitute a commitment to grant authorization, and applicants failing to meet requirements will not be authorized. Persons who have not received communication regarding their Notification Form must contact the Authority by 11 December 2018.
