Circular on Regulatory Submissions for Trustee and Fiduciary Services under Article 43 of the Trusts and Trustees Act
The Malta Financial Services Authority mandates that persons authorised to provide trustee and fiduciary services under Article 43 of the Trusts and Trustees Act submit their 2026 Annual Compliance Return and supporting financial documents. Submissions must be completed using the unchanged template, include comprehensive shareholding and organisational charts dated 24 March 2026, and be uploaded via the Licence Holder Portal within four months of the financial year end without any extensions. The Authority requires all fields to be validated, accepts only qualified electronic signatures under eIDAS, and instructs users to adhere to specific file naming conventions and portal access protocols.
