Circular on the implications of Member State’s rights under Directive 2000/31/EC as a result of the United Kingdom withdrawing from the European Union
Licence holders providing information society services to the United Kingdom must immediately contact the Financial Conduct Authority to seek authorization for new business once the transitional period ends on 31 December 2020. These entities are required to comply with changes to relevant financial promotions rules affecting their marketing activities. Additionally, licence holders must keep the MFSA copied in any correspondence with the FCA regarding this matter.
