Circular on the Update of the Oversight Framework for Payment Systems and Their Operators

Systemically important and non-classified payment system operators must conduct annual self-assessments of Financial Market Infrastructure principles, or periodically as agreed with SAMA for non-classified systems. Operators must comply with the Disclosure Framework and Assessment Methodology in Appendix A. Systemically important operators must publicly disclose self-assessment summaries after obtaining a no-objection letter from SAMA. This framework replaces the previous Oversight Framework for Payment and Financial Settlement Systems issued on 04/08/2021.
