Rule · BCRA · 27 Jul 1999 · A 2962
Financial entities must establish fixed-term deposits with variable interest clauses subject to specific conditions. The basic remuneration rate, determined by a freely agreed discount percentage or prevailing level from 2 to 5 banking business days prior to the sub-period start, must remain invariable for the entire deposit term and for sub-periods of no less than 30 days. Additional remuneration points must also remain invariable for the total pact term. Entities must clearly record the basic parameter, fixed days, additional points or discount percentage, and sub-period duration in the deposit instrumenting document. This replaces point 2 of resolution Communication "A" 2188, effective 1.8.99.
