Rule · BCRA · 29 Dec 1997 · A 2645
Financial entities must update auto pledge and real estate loan manuals by replacing specific clauses and terminology, such as substituting "Notification of Acceptance" with "Granting Information." They must require self-employed applicants to submit tax declarations, professional registrations, and pension contribution details, while ensuring auto pledge insurance covers theft, fire, and total destruction for amounts matching the unpaid loan balance. Lenders may debit insurance premiums from borrower accounts and declare terms expired if premiums are unpaid within ten days. These changes replace provisions in Communications "A" 2586, 2591, and 2563, with a suspension of local insurance qualification requirements valid until June 30, 1998.
